Lynn Berry has volunteered to organize a group of ambassadors for the Greater Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce, having recently retired from the Branson Chamber of Commerce/CVB after 17 years. A chamber of commerce ambassador program is a group of volunteers who serve as a connection between the chamber and the community. They attend chamber ribbon cuttings and other events. Essentially, an ambassador helps boost businesses and community initiatives.
An ambassador can:
- Promote the chamber: Speak positively about the chamber, and promote its events and programs through social media and word of mouth
- Attend events: Attend chamber events, ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, and after-hours functions
- Help membership: Help members retain their membership, and encourage newcomers to invest in the chamber
- Communicate with leadership: What's happening in the community
Benefits of being an ambassador:
- Community involvement: Get more involved in the community and make new friends
- Networking: Make valuable contacts with business leaders in the area
- Learning: Learn more about the growth and development of the community
